Walter Fourie is a doctoral student at UAF. On the Fairbanks stage he has recently been seen as Herr Eiler in Mozart’s The Impresario with UAF Opera Theater, the Barber in Man from La Mancha and Maximilian Detweiler in The Sound of Music, both with Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre. He has also worked with Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre and the Fairbanks Symphony. In May he toured through Europe with the Alaska Camerata as a soloist and chorister. He was also the winner of the 2007 National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition in Alaska.
