Eapen Leabner
In Eapen's most recent performance in Bronx Opera's Die Drei Pintos,
Musical America hailed him as "the opera's most engaging character, or
so it would appear from Eapen Leubner's deft portrayal, sung with a
trim, attractive tenor voice" and The New York Times acclaimed him as
"a charming Don Gaston."

Born in Penfield, New York to an Indian mother and German father,
Eapen studied voice and opera at Ithaca College and Binghamton
University. After an apprenticeship with Tri-Cities Opera, Eapen's
work at Opera Colorado won the 2005 Richard Norblum Award.

Recent roles include Tamino (The Magic Flute), Bastien (Bastien und
Bastienne), Beppe (I Pagliacci), and Alfred (Die Fledermaus). Among
Eapen's prepared roles are Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), Belmonte (Die
Entfuehrung aus dem Serail), Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore), Don Ottavio
(Don Giovanni), and Alfredo (La Traviata).

Eapen Leubner made his international debut in an acclaimed recital of opera,
Broadway and song on the island of St. Maarten, where he was praised
by the Today newspaper for his "dramatic, powerful and compelling
performance."
