Baritone
Steven Dixon returns to Fairbanks after a seven-year absence. An
Anchorage resident, he pursued music at the University of Alaska
Fairbanks. Steven has performed with various groups throughout the
Alaska, such as Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre, Alaska Chamber
Chorale, Alaska Camerata, Theatre UAF, and the Alaska Quartet. While
in Fairbanks he performed the roles of Papageno in the Magic
Flute, Koko in the Mikado, and Wilfred Shadbolt in
Yeomen of the Guard. Since leaving Fairbanks Steven has worked
professionally with Anchorage Opera, having roles in Tosca,
Turandot, and La Boheme, as well as taking part in
their Studio Theatre Young Artist Program. Steven is a two-time
winner of the Alaska NATS competition and won the Alaska District
for the Metropolitan Opera National Council in 2003.
